Oh you who believed! you heed Lord Allah and seek what brings you closer to Him, and you do Jihad in His way so that you may prosper.
“Seek what brings you closer to Him” mentioned in verse doesn’t mean you need intercessors. It can be understood from verses 25: 58-59; 32: 4; 36: 78; 39: 3, 36, 44, etc. that Lord Allah doesn’t need any intercessors or helpers, and He is enough for His servant as Protector and Helper, and if anyone invokes any of the Lord’s creatures, he will be the enemy to Him on the Day of Judgment. It is told in verses 17: 56-57: "Pray to those whom you assume besides Lord, they have no power to relieve or to change your troubles. Those to whom they pray themselves are seeking what brings them closer to their Lord and they are trying to be those who are the nearest to Him. They are hoping for His Mercy and fear His punishment; indeed the punishment of your Lord is terrible". It is told in verse 7: 197 that those whom you invoke besides Lord Allah, they can’t help you, they even can’t help themselves.
Today there is no group of believers anywhere in the world. So, the odd believer can seek closeness to the Lord by holding fast Adhikr which is the Unbreakable Rope as explained in verses 2: 256-257. Adhikr teaches that every individual has been fastened with a Recording Book upon their neck which will not omit anything unless it is recorded, and on the Day of Judgment, It will be produced for Reckoning oneself as explained in verses 17: 13-14. So by propagating Adhikr to the entire world believer is helping the Impartial Lord so that Lord will help him back as told in verses 22: 40 and 47: 7. See explanation 4: 66, 117-118, and 22: 77-78.
